The Daytona Beach International Festival is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration designed to introduce children and families to the cultures of the world—all in one exciting, interactive setting. Taking place May 16–17, 2026, this free community event brings together more than 30 nations through music, dance, food, art, and hands-on educational experiences created especially for young learners.
At the heart of the festival is the Cultural Passport, a unique and engaging activity that turns every child into a global explorer. Upon arrival, children receive a printed “passport” that guides them on a journey across the festival grounds. Each country booth represents a different nation and offers an opportunity to learn something new—whether it’s a traditional greeting, a fun fact, a cultural custom, or a simple phrase in another language.
As children visit each country, they collect stamps in their passport, just like traveling around the world. This simple but powerful concept encourages curiosity, exploration, and interaction. Instead of just watching from the sidelines, kids actively participate—asking questions, meeting cultural representatives, and discovering the richness of global traditions firsthand.
The Cultural Passport is designed to align with early educational goals by promoting geography awareness, cultural appreciation, and social engagement. Teachers and parents often use it as a springboard for deeper conversations about the world, helping children understand both the differences and commonalities that connect us all. For many children, it’s their first “trip around the world,” sparking an interest in global learning that can last a lifetime.
To make the experience even more exciting, children who complete their passports by visiting multiple countries can check in at the Passport Station, where their participation is recognized. As part of this initiative, participating students may submit their completed passports on behalf of their classroom. The classroom with the highest level of participation will be awarded a $100 certificate and a pizza party, celebrating their enthusiasm, teamwork, and global curiosity.
Beyond the Cultural Passport, the festival offers a full day of family fun. Live performances showcase traditional and modern music and dance from around the world, creating a dynamic and colorful stage experience. Interactive art activities, including a community mural project, invite children to express themselves creatively while contributing to a shared work of art. Additional attractions such as water slides, demonstrations from local first responders, and hands-on exhibits ensure there is something for every age group.
