The Halifax Health | Brooks Rehabilitation Pediatric Recreation Program is a FREE adaptive sport and recreation program for youth with any physical, developmental, and/or sensory limitations. The Brooks Pediatric Recreation Program provides youth with disabilities meaningful and accessible recreation opportunities that offer social connection, family empowerment, and community integration to enhance quality of life.
Art offers powerful benefits for children with disabilities—it helps improve fine motor skills, communication, emotional expression, and self-confidence, while also providing a calming and joyful outlet. Most importantly, it gives every child the opportunity to feel successful, creative, and proud of what they create.
