Lyonia Environmental Center - North Atlantic Right Whale Ornaments

With a population of approximately 370 individuals, this critically endangered species can be seen on rare occasions along the coast of Volusia County from November through April. Learn more about this amazing whale species and the efforts being made to ensure its survival. Following the discussion, we’ll use simple sewing techniques to create a felt whale ornament to hang on the tree or add to a package. All materials will be provided courtesy of The Friends of Lyonia Environmental Center. Class space is very limited with pre-registration required. Recommended for ages 10 and up.
