Introduce a Girl to Engineering Workshop (IGEW) 2023

The Society of Women Engineers at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University presents Introduce a Girl to Engineering Workshop (IGEW) 2023! IGEW is a free, all-day STEM outreach event for 3rd through 5th grade girls in Volusia County. The goal of the workshop is to introduce girls to the world of engineering and encourage an increase of female participation in STEM. Students will be able to learn about five different engineering disciplines. These topics, ranging from mechanical to environmental engineering, will be paired with corresponding experiments that allow for a hands-on and engaging experience. Additionally, registrants will receive lunch, a T-shirt, and goodies to take home.
IGEW 2023 will take place on Saturday, February 11th on the Embry-Riddle campus.
