DeLeon Dunk & First Day Hike

What a great way to kickstart your mind and body for 2024! Take a dip in our spring pool - 72° all year - then enjoy a First Day Hike led by our rangers! If it's a cold day, the pool will feel so warm and inviting. If it's a warm day, the pool will feel so cool and refreshing. Win-win!! *Make sure you bring a warm towel, robe, and/or jacket.
We will all jump in the spring pool at the same time, about 8:30 am. It's going to be fun and silly.
Option 1: Just Dunk! All you have to do is pay the park entrance fee or use your park pass, and you can come on in and jump with us and enjoy the activities!
Option 2: SLAM DUNK! Ticketed Event $10 - In addition to Option 1, you'll get our new DeLeon Dunk souvenir magnet or sticker, hot cocoa or coffee, and be entered into our drawings for dozens of prizes. SLAM DUNKERS will also have access to enter our DeLeon Dunk CONTEST! Categories: Best Swim/Dunk Outfit (1st - 5th place), Youngest Dunker, Oldest Dunker, Dunker Who Drove the Farthest to get to DeLeon Dunk, and more. So many prizes!!

For All: Join in our dance/warm-up, gather around the fire pit, play outdoor games, or just enjoy the park. Kids, try out our new playground!
Make sure you bring a warm towel, robe, and/or jacket! After your "DeLeon Dunk", order some hot breakfast at Old Sugar Mill Pancake House. They will probably have a fire in the fireplace. Rent a kayak/canoe/pedal boat/standup paddleboard, take an eco-history boat tour, or just hang out in the park.
At 10 am and 1 pm, our rangers will guide First Day Hikes on our nature trail.
Spend the whole day in our park . . . A perfect way to start the year!
