The annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day March will take place at 9 a.m. on January 20, 2025. The march is preceded by a free breakfast at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church (214 N. Myrtle Avenue, NSB).
The march route begins at the Mary S. Harrell Black Heritage Museum (N. Myrtle Avenue), crosses the MLK Bridge, and returns via Canal Street to the Babe James Center (corner of N Myrtle Ave and Washington St).
A program will be held at the Babe James Center with Rev. Staci Plonsky (Edgewater UMC and Coronado Community UMC) and Chief Eric Feldman (NSB Fire Department) as speakers.
The CCUMC bus will provide transportation to the march. If anyone wishes to ride the bus from the church, please contact Martha Ross at martha.ross@coronadoumc.org.
Parking is available at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, the Babe James Center, the Mary S. Harrell Black Heritage Museum or Pettis Park.
