The USRP Racers Swim Team is a fast-growing USA-Swimming club whose goal is to guide each swimmer to achieve his or her maximum potential through focused training and proper technique. All practice sessions are conducted in a positive, encouraging atmosphere.
"‹The training protocol used by the Racers is Ultra Short Race Pace Training.
This method has three components:
Technique "“ strong emphasis on stroke mechanics, streamlining, starts, turns, and finishes
Mental "“ goal setting, race strategy, pace clock usage, importance of proper diet and adequate rest
"‹Conditioning "“ training at race pace, with the focus on quality rather than quantity.
