This 25-acre community park offers mutltiple activities such as soccer and basketball, but in 2011 the highlight was on tennis. With grants from the U.S. Tennis Association, two of the exisitng 78-foot adult-sized tennis courts were converted into eight 36-foot courts specifically designed for players age 10 and under. The goal is to encourage more young children to choose tennis as a sport by providing courts that are better suited for their initial training. Players can use smaller, lighter racquets and lower-bouncing balls.
