Sampsell Family Farm

The Sampsell Family Farm is a private farm that offers outdoor educational programs for fishing, hiking, backpaking and hunting. Sampsell Family Farm is an approved "Direct Pay Provider" for the Step Up For Students Scholarships.

Fishing Catch and Release

The farm has a 1.5-acre stocked pond where families can enjoy catch-and-release fishing.
Fishing includes: Educational information, fishing poles and bait, no license needed.


Hiking and Backpacking Education Program

Educational use of a variety of backpacks, tents, stoves, food preparation, water filtration, sleep systems. Information on locating and planning (logistics) a trip, trail blazes (markers, signs), maps for navigation, personal hygiene, resupply, and mind set.

Guided Hike - Florida Scenic Trail

Included: a recap overview of the introduction to hiking and backpacking class, key take away points. Logistics planning, guided tour and information on local eco-system. This will be an out and back or loop tour, at the guides discretion. This may be physically demanding depending on individual physical condition, weather, trail segment length and terrain.|
