Spanning 122 acres, our grounds are home to more than 2,000 rare and exotic animals and over 1,000 plant specimen. Guests are invited to explore immersive habitats, peaceful gardens, and hands-on experiences that spark wonder and curiosity. With award-winning habitats like Land of the Tiger and Primate Forest, Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens is proud to be recognized as a world-class destination. From strolling alongside towering giraffes on the African Savanna to discovering delicate orchids in Asia Gardens, every visit is an adventure.

We are one of the few institutions with a dedicated Animal Wellness team focused on ensuring every animal in our care has the opportunity to thrive, both physically and mentally. We’re also proud to be among the select zoos in the nation with an accredited botanical garden, creating a unique blend of wildlife and horticulture that celebrates the beauty, resilience, and balance of natural ecosystems.
