

Offering educational camps, presentations and interactive exhibits. Directly across from the center’s main entrance is a handicap accessible paved path and boardwalk to an observation tower with views of the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, waterways and surrounding wetlands.
Turtle Tots Program
Offers children aged 2 - 6 opportunities to explore our local marine life through engaging stories, crafts, and activities focused on conservation. This program operates from August to May during the school year and is not available during the summer months.

Discover and learn about Volusia County’s rich marine life – its inhabitants and the ecosystems that make this area unique – at the Marine Science Center. Through innovative learning experiences, visitors can view seabird and sea turtle rehabilitation, get hands-on in a teaching lab, and explore exhibit galleries and a nature trail that illustrate the story of marine life in Volusia County.
While at the Marine Science Center, view the medical facilities where seabirds and sea turtles are treated for their injuries and illnesses. Learn about the ways they are rehabilitated so they can be released back into the wild. Discover ways you can conserve and protect the marine environment and resources around us. Join us as we seek to conserve our environment through education, research and stewardship.
The Marine Science Center also offers a variety of virtual educational programs. From feeding stingrays to enjoying the “Raptors Live” programs, there are many opportunities to learn about the wildlife that call Volusia County home.
