Welcoming Hearts

Welcoming Hearts is a non-profit organization wanting to have a direct impact on children, families, professionals and the community as they navigate the journey through life with a loved one with special needs (VIPs).

Our VIPs are those with any physical, cognitive, medical or hidden disability, chronic or life-threatening illness, or those who are medically fragile with an onset prior to age 22.


PARENT SUPPORT MEETINGS
Welcoming Hearts hosts a parent support meeting online via zoom. If you would like the link email

PLAY GROUPS
Welcoming Hearts hosts a play group 1-2 times a month, which are open to all members. Siblings are welcoming too.

TEEN CLUB (Middle and High Schoolers)
Welcoming Hearts will host a Teen Club once a month for Middle and High Schoolers.

MOM'S AND DAD'S OUTINGS
Welcoming Hearts will host once a month a Mom's Night Out and once a month a Dad's Night Out. These are opportunities to form social bonds with other parents on the same journey.

Welcoming Hearts host various family events throughout the year, including Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is a great way to connect with other parents, while having fun and socializing.

Fundraising Events
In the Spring Welcoming Hearts hosts a Running with the Chromies 10K/5K/1K Run or Walk.
In the Fall, Welcoming Hearts hosts a Halloween 10K/5K/1K Run Walk Creep Crawl or Roll.
In the Fall, Welcoming Hearts hosts a Family Resource and Fun Day.
