Freedom Playground

Freedom Playground is a part of a historical site that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It offers a considerable play area, a paved walking/jogging path, and four pavilions that can be reserved for events and parties. It's also Deland's only community-built playground. Accompaying Freedom Playground is a Sensory Butterfly Garden; the restored Memorial Hospital Building, which houses the city's Parks and Recreaction office; and the Burgess Building, which has several historical exhibits.
