Kinetic Expressions Dance Academy (KEDA) has been dancing in Daytona Beach for nearly 20 years! We are a performance studio dedicated to the art of dance as a performance art not a competitive sport. We offer dance technique classes for students of all abilities ages 2- adult and feature 2 performance companies The Expressions Company for Children and the Connect Company for graduated students and adults.
KEDA is proud to work in conjunction with the Purpose Performing Arts Foundation, a non profit organization to promote the arts and educators of the arts. Working with the foundation we are able to offer you not only our professional college trained staff, but new drop- in teachers offering different techniques every month! Our fully-equipped, clean and sanitized spacious"Danceplex" is equipped with four studio spaces, three dressing rooms, a cafe, an in house theater and so much more!I Have you always wanted to dance but you’re a beginner? Are you an experienced dancer looking to improve your technique, Do you have a passion for performance? If this is you, KEDA is your home. We are here for you!

Ms. Crystal Joy Draper
Artistic Director/Owner
Crystal J. Draper, Founder and President of Purpose Performing Arts Foundation began her studies in dance at the young age of two. She graduated high school as a dance major from the School for Creative and Performing Arts in 1999 and went on to attain her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Performance from Shenandoah University and Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia. After College, Ms. Crystal moved to Florida and she began Kinetic Expressions Dance Academy (KEDA) in Daytona Beach where she has been teaching and directing for the past 18 years. Ms. Crystal performed professionally and internationally with the Surfscape Contemporary Dance theater from 2015- 2018 as a principle dancer. She has been the Artistic director and choreographer for the Expressions Company since 2004. Ms. Crystal’s heart is for the community and giving back through her passion for the arts. She has been performing in the community with KEDA for 18 years. Recently she has started the Purpose Academy of Fine Arts, A pre-K- 12 private school for the academics and the ARTS!

Purpose Academy of Fine Arts is the Academic Arts Academy that works alongside with Kinetic Expressions Dance Academy! A pseudo all year private school, with individualized student curriculums, at the Purpose Academy, students will study and learn the fine arts as well as academic core classes in math, science, and social studies. PAFA is a unique, stress free, student focused school setting where students enjoy learning! **When you reserve a place in our programs, that space is saved for your student. Spaces are allotted on a first pay, first reserved basis. We may refuse other students into our programs, based on your reservation. For this reason we follow a NO REFUND POLICY for any program affiliated with the Academy.**
